Marc is a Dutch birder and wildlife photographer, founder and director of AGAMI Photo Agency, specializing in bird and nature imagery.

He is the creator of The Texel Big Day and The Global Mammal Big Day, and has contributed to and published several leading identification guides, including The Handbook of European Birds.

Marc also writes for BirdLife Netherlands, documenting his global quest to see and photograph the world’s bird species. In his spare time, he walks the Camino de Santiago — without binoculars or camera.
