The Eurasian Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) is a widespread raptor of wooded and semi-open landscapes, often hunting along forest edges, clearings and agricultural mosaics. Its territorial behaviour, regular use of favoured hunting routes and repeated visits to perches make it a challenging but rewarding subject for photography, offering dynamic and unpredictable opportunities when conditions align.
