Trip Overview
The open Mediterranean holds one of Europe's most overlooked seabirds, and this short pelagic is built entirely around getting close to it: the European Storm-Petrel.
This four-hour trip is a focused run out to sea, timed to the soft light of early morning and shaped around getting the boat into position as the birds pass low and fast over the water. Small groups, a slow drift, and repeated passes define the pace. Four hours on the water, working the wake until the birds come in close.
Rafael Armada and Alejandra Rendón will be with you throughout, guiding positioning, timing and technique from the boat. The kind of attention that only works in very small groups and with the right conditions.
