Ivan Villarejo
Bird Photography Guide
Ivan Villarejo is a Spanish wildlife photographer and nature guide with experience working across Europe and in remote natural environments around the world. Born in Barcelona, Ivan has been connected to nature since childhood, spending countless hours exploring the forest with his father from the moment he could walk.
Fascinated by the natural world from an early age, he soon realized that he wanted to dedicate his life to spending as much time in nature as possible. He began studying Biology at university, but later decided to leave his degree to pursue his dream of becoming a wildlife photographer.
After completing two years of hands-on professional training, he began his career as a photographer for a Spanish nature magazine.
Over the years, Ivan has worked both as a guide and as a wildlife photographer across Europe, from the wetlands of the Danube Delta in Romania to the frozen landscapes of Svalbard in the Arctic.
His main area of expertise is Spanish wildlife, especially mammals and birds. Having lived in both Monfragüe National Park and the Pyrenees, raptors and large predators have always been his greatest passion.
