Marc Guyt

Marc is a Dutch birder and wildlife photographer, and the founder and director of AGAMI Photo Agency, one of the world’s leading agencies specialising in bird and nature imagery. Through AGAMI he works closely with photographers around the globe, helping document wildlife and natural history through high-quality photography and visual storytelling.

Marc is also involved in ornithological publishing and is co-author, together with Nils van Duivendijk, of The Handbook of European Birds, published in English by Princeton University Press, one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date identification guides to the birds of Europe.

He is also known for creating innovative citizen-science initiatives such as The Texel Big Day and The Global Mammal Big Day. Alongside his photographic and editorial work, Marc writes for BirdLife Netherlands. When he is not travelling in search of birds, Marc enjoys walking the Camino de Santiago — one of the few occasions when he deliberately leaves his binoculars and camera behind.
